Simple Curd Cheese Recipe

  •       1 litre raw milk
  •       1 tsp veg rennet
  •       Salt
  •       Cheese cloth
  •       String
  •       Olive Oil
  •       Herbs of choice such as rosemary & dill 


  1. Make sure all the equipment you use is spotlessly clean!
  2. Warm the milk in a saucepan to body temperature (37.5°C).
  3. Dilute the rennet in 1 tbsp boiled and cooled water, add to the milk and allow to set.
  4. Once set, stir gently to separate the curds and whey.
  5. Place the curds into a cheese cloth and hang over a bowl for 2-3 hours.
  6. Once hung, remove the cheese from the cloth, cut into cubes and season with salt & pepper. You can also place the cheese into a jar with oil and herbs.
