Cheese Steak Catherine Wheels

This cheese and steak recipe is sure to delight at bonfire night with its creative Catherine Wheel design.


  • 1 Red Tractor Flank Steak
  • Handful Sundried Tomatoes
  • Handful Spinach, torn
  • Cream Cheese
  • Handful Basil, torn
  • Wooden or metal skewers
  • Red Tractor Rapeseed oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste


  1. Lay steak out on oiled surface.
  2. Cover steak with cling film.
  3. Tenderise and roll out flank steak with rolling pin into a rectangle shape.
  4. Remove cling film and cover with cream cheese until evently coated.
  5. Top with teared spinach leaves, sun dried tomatoes and fresh basil.
  6. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  7. Roll steak up from right to left ensuring the ingredients are packed in tightly.
  8. Insert skewer 2 centimeters into the side of the steak and cut steak at a centimeter and a half after skewer.
  9. Leave another centimeter and a half and repeat until there is no steak left to skewer.
  10. Place on oiled grilling pan and grill for approxiamtely 5 - 7 minutes on each side.
